Attorney breaks away from large firm to start new practice.
Challenge:
A successful attorney at a large law firm wanted to start his own law firm, however, it was imperative that he find affordable “Class A” office space in a very tight commercial real estate market, ideally not too far from LAX airport. Furthermore, he wanted to limit his upfront costs and expenses during the first 90 days because it was going to take at least three months before the new firm would be receiving billable fees from clients.

After our client narrowed his search down, we successfully negotiated with the property management company to get them to pay for all tenant improvements and to provide free rent for the first several months, which greatly helped our client manage and budget the law firm’s start-up costs.
